embracing inanity

I've decided to just accept the fact that any intelligence I might have is going into my papers and presentations right now, which means that none is left over for this space. And I don't have any time to blog anything that's actually involved anyway. I thought about relaxing my posting rules (one a day, death is no excuse for failure), but I'm too anal-retentive to do that. Every day I say I won't blog, but then I do. I can't help myself. So I'm relaxing my expectations instead. It seems to me that the intelligent thing to do would be to value quality over quantity, but I get enormous satisfaction from putting something here regularly. And there's only 10 days left of coursework. So it'll be OK.

This new, loosey-goosey spirit thusly allows me to post something like this:
