If you love the whole pinup/pulp thing as much as I do (or even if you don't), you really should check out the cover article in this month's Smithsonian magazine: "Deadbeats! Dames! Dirtbags! Pulp Art Gets a Little Respect".

If I hadn't already gotten so far down the thesis road that I'm on (the one marked Intellectual Property), I'd be so tempted to do one of the Rhetoric of the Female Figure in either pulp or pinup art. Probably pulp. Seems to me that there is a ton to say on that subject. I'd try to pick it up now, except I'd have to dig deep into semiotics and I just don't feel like I'll be able to do that right in the time that's left.
