My puppy had surgery today. (And by "puppy," I mean "dog who came to live with me when I was 19 and was already two years old then.") He's had problems with kidney stones lately, and has been on medication for a while now. Today, the vet opened up his bladder and removed some particularly nasty stones.

He did fine, and is home and resting comfortably. Thank God. He is (of course) the smartest, sweetest, cutest puppy in the world.* If you have some good thoughts to spare, please send them his way.

*No matter what Steve says. I'm sure Checkers is very nearly as nice as Bodhi.
