apathy or intelligence?

DATELINE: Little Rock: The cells holding 26 death-row inmates sprang open for three minutes after a guard pressed the wrong button, a month after a prisoner was beaten to death during a similar mishap. (via CNN)
The interesting thing is this: everyone stayed in their cells until the doors swung shut again.

I heard about that while tuning to the local news (which I don't normally do) in an attempt to figure out what was going on w/the bus drivers. Just BeUtiful.
