Instant PoMo
When my thesis chair and I tired of working on my proposal one afternoon, we spent a hilarious hour trying to come up with the most PoMo version possible of my thesis title. At one point, we found a way to work in two sets of parenthesis and two colons, and we weren't even drinking. (The current, working title is The Author Is Dead / Long Live the Author: History, Theory, and Practice of the Intellectual Commons.) Memories of that, combined with the PoMo brouhaha that happened around here last summer, caused me to take special delight in The Amazing and Incredible, Only-Slightly-Laughable, Politically Unassailable, PoMo English Title Generator, which presents the following possible topics for this blog:
- Absent Vivisection and the Text of Ephemeral Degeneration in Krista's Arete
- Illness and Identity in Arete: Krista Deconstructing Mandatory Echolalia
- Krista, Arete, and The Marginalized: (Re)reading Masculist Orgasm
- Ungendering Silence: Alien Tolerance in Krista's Arete
- Krista Gendering Silence: Arete and the Depression of Notions
- Visioning the Mythical Literacies in Krista: Arete and Desire
and my personal favorite:
- Text as Subjectivity: Producing Feminist Tyranny in Krista's Arete
