PBS has produced a documentary on The Pill. The website includes all kinds of wonderful stuff, including a prevention timeline and a gallery of birth control pill packaging. (This is more interesting than it sounds - when I read back over this and see "documentary on The Pill," I hear a Ben Stein voice in my head saying "and then Casanova experimented with hollowed-out lemon halves as a primitive cervical cap. Now we turn to Margaret Sanger..." But really, this stuff is fascinating - particularly from a cultural studies perspective.)
