I was sitting around watching Looney Tunes today while I should have been writing the thesis. The Road Runner cartoons are really about the old problem of man vs nature, aren't they? (And the coyote and sheep dog cartoons are all about Foucauldian power constructs.) I remember that when I was 3 or 4 and watching these every Saturday morning, I kept waiting for the episode where the coyote would finally catch the road runner. I was sure it would happen sooner or later. At that age, you have no concept of futility.
