a deviation in work music
I generally cannot work to music that has words I can understand, and thus keep a many-hours playlist of various instrumental works that range from gregorian chant to Zappa's Guitar (both discs.) Mister Boyfriend turned me on to Tom Verlaine's Warm and Cool and The Venture's Wild Again because he got tired of hearing Bach's Cello Suites on repeat for days.
These past few days, I've discovered that I can work to Concrete Blonde. Really well. Especially Bloodletting and Mojave. Words and all. I put it on for some design work and have had the whole list on perpetual play ever since. One never knows, do one?
