Update
Mr. Boyfriend again.
Krista came through surgery yesterday very well. I printed out the comments you all made and took them to her, and she was thrilled that people cared.
So far, the people at the hospital and the people at the U have been great. I won't make any more snide comments about "Minnesota nice" — it was much better than the "southern hospitality" I got when I broke my ankle.

Comments
Glad to hear she came through with flying colors, mister boyfriend, but I assumed she would because doctors perform some near miracles today.
Tell her I'll race her to see who gets back on their feet first.

Thanks for the update Mr. Boyfriend, and thanks for taking our well wishes to Krista.
Minnesota 'nice' has its good and bad sides. V. glad to hear that you're pleased with her care.
Thinking of you K-star!

It is requisite, I think, that one break something while in grad school. I broke two toes. Best to Krista! I assume she'll be on crutches at 4Cs...suck.

It doesn't have to be a break, even. My appendix burst the first month I was in graduate school...
Please give Krista my best wishes and tell her I'm glad her surgery went so well. I'll hope for her to be back on her feet fast.
- Chris :)

Golly, I feel pathetic -- all I got in grad school was galloping pompholyx.
Unless you count what appears to be a cracked little toe at the moment...
Get better soon, Krista!
