baseless
Every so often, someone asks me what it’s like for two grad students to co-exist during the stress-ridden ends of semesters. It ain’t easy. For the first two we weren’t living together, so we just stayed in our respective caves for a couple of weeks. During the third one, I made sure I finished early and then ran off to New Orleans for a week in order to give Mister Boyfriend the house to himself. Since then, we've managed to hash it out. It’s taken us awhile to get the respecting-each-other’s-freakouts thing down, but we’re pretty good at it now.
All that’s really happened this time is logistical issues — mostly procurement issues, actually. Neither of us has time to go the store, and I’m only capable of wee trips, anyway. This, coupled with absent-mindedness, has resulted in a situation where we have lots of food, but no bases for an actual meal. Example: all kinds of sandwich stuff, but no bread. Everything one needs for lovely burritos, but no tortillas. And an array of fresh produce and grilled chicken for salads, but no lettuce. Perhaps we'll just live on toppings until the papers are turned in Monday evening.

Scott and I usually resort to A LOT of fast food during the very bust times of the semester. This time I stocked up on low cal frozen meals for me, so I don't end up looking like a house.
Good luck with getting everything done. Take care.
