Searching the internets for performative texts. I’m astonished at the sickly sweet hokiness of so many of the wedding vows posted out there. Therefore I present the following alternative:
(with feeling)
Officiant: Do you?
Her: Yeah!
Him: Yeah!
Officiant: Dude!

If you're looking at write-your-owns, our ceremony transcript is hanging off yarinareth.net someplace. We tried to avoid the sickly sweetness, but I dunno if we did.

OTOH, your version was more restrained and elegant.
