scholarly
It’s turned grey and blowsy outside, and the weather people have moved the forecast for first snow up to tomorrow. Last week, they said maybe some snow on Tuesday, and it won’t stick. Now it’s most likely snow on Monday, and an inch of accumulation.
For whatever reason, both of us love dark, rainy and snowy days. We say, “It’s scholarly weather outside!” I think we mean that it’s good weather for wearing snuggly clothes and robes and slippers and staying inside to read or write. It’s good weather for getting things done.
Fortunately, this is a place with lots of scholarly weather.

The exact opposite here: warm, in the late 60s, almost 70s, sunny, and glorious. Soooo NOT scholarly weather. Hey, maybe that's the reason I'm not getting things done, heh? :)
