30
Today I am 30. And I am ready. I feel like I did everything I needed to do in my 20s: growed up some, travelled some (but not enough), worked a real job long enough to know that I can succeed there but don’t want to, got educated enough and started on the overeducation, met the love of my life and settled down a bit. I did the stuff that let me know some of what it is I want to do with this next decade. I am done with my 20s.
So what does an introvert’s birthday look like? We began the festivities last night with dinner for two, since Mister Husband has a seminar tonight. The morning got started with a singing phone call from my mom, a bunch of e-cards, and an email from one of my dear Arkansas friends who I hadn’t heard from since last summer. Today I’m going to work out, then have lunch with a good friend, then go to my book history class, then go to an appointment with my massage therapist. Then I’ll probably come home and watch a movie and paint my toes. Unless I go out and do a little shopping.
Update: Aww.
