Back when I lived here, G. and I developed a New Year’s ritual that we enacted every year. Now that I’m never around on the actual day, we declare whatever day we can get together to be The Day and go for it.

Since it’s a secret ritual, I can’t tell you what it is that we do. But I can tell you that adult beverages, helium balloons, and setting stuff on fire improves any mood.
