help, please

I bought these tiny pattypans at the Farmer’s Market recently. (That's a quarter there with them, for scale.) Problem is, I have no idea how to cook them. Almost all the recipes I’ve found are for stuffed pattypans, but that doesn’t seem feasible for such little ones. Should I just steam them? Anybody?

Steaming is definitely an option. So is oven roasting (drizzle with olive oil, a little salt and pepper, toss around to distribute oil and roast at 350 until fork tender or as you like them). You can also saute them - olive oil or butter melted, toss in the pattypans and toss them around until they are tender. Finish with a splash of wine, or perhaps balsamic vinegar for a bit of flair.
They can be mixed in with other vegetables to roast/saute, and can be served over pasta or rice or by themselves. Very flexible.
In either case, you don't need to cut them at all. They do just fine in their present form.
Have fun!
