10 to -10 is pretty optimal winter weather as far as I’m concerned, but that has to include the wind chill. -30 is overkill.

The phrase hunkered down comes to mind.

I had a couple nights like that, up in the Massachusetts hill towns, but holy smokes. That's cold.
