Yeah, my first impression was that I was being warned that my child might become a small log or hunk o' firewood. Which is pretty creepy, I must say, but not terribly likely. Particularly since I don't have a child. But whatever.
Perhaps I should have written a new Ozark folk tale to go along with this, about a witch who turns lost children into logs and clearly posts a warnings about what they're in for. But being a practical witch, she uses a metal sign, not one made of candy.

I like not knowing what's on the other side. Makes me think the sign is telling me that my child could be next to get turned into a pile of logs.
