your marvelous people with your marvelous sounds

If you haven’t read the responses to my question about what sound you’ll never forget, you might enjoy them. They’re so disparate, and that’s without even including the Tasmanian Devil growl that lovely Sally delivered to my inbox one morning.

And you know what’s reassuring? I’ve heard almost all the sounds that were mentioned. Nobody put down things like hummingbird wings and snow falling.

(If you haven’t left one yet, humor me, please?)

it's kinda cliched, but
"snow crunching underfoot" is probably my favorite sound.

there's an acting exercise called "superconsciousness," where you focus on developing the senses. sound is always my central focus. on a busy set, you can always sort of look down (or close your eyes) and *hear* distinct sounds (one out of many or the whole chorus) and it gets you "in the moment," fwiw ;)

Yay! For those who haven't had the pleasure, the Tassie Devil vocalisation is here: http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/wildlife/mammals/tasde.aiff

It is LOUD. Be warned!
