Clafoutis is one of my very favorite desserts! thanks for sharing the recipe and the gorgeous photo. I am very wary of buying peaches because I hate the disappointment of underripe fruit, but I’ve learned to be patient. Right now, there are some decent Colorado peaches in the Midtown Global Market, but the stone fruit in San Francisco was insanely good.

Wow, so many things accomplished, so many places visited, so much gardening! Hats off on the gardens, my plans have yet to be realized.

I like this form of a summer recap, maybe I’ll try one too.

It’s great that you both feel as if you came home, that’s a great feeling to have! When I moved from California to Minneapolis, it took a bit longer, but that was partly because I was renting and in the process of leaving a long-time relationship. But even after 22 years, and even though I feel at home, I enjoy the returns because it still feels as if I’m in the process of discovery.

Yummy to both! Did I mention my large measuring jug which only had two volume markers on? the lower marked “pimms”, the upper marked “lemonade”. Hurrah!
