Green tomato harvest

Green tomato harvest

That there’s got Early Girl and Patio hybrids and Black Russian heirloom grape tomatoes. I planted them around 7/15, which means the plants are heavy with green fruit right now. I ripened one on the windowsill last week and that went well, so I picked a bunch more to ripen this week. Hopefully, they’ll be ready by the time my parents arrive this weekend. The rest I’ll leave on the vines until frost.

I grew something! And got a little closer to 50 Before 50 thing #9, which is “grow tomatoes as good as the ones grown by my grandparents & father in law.”
